If you are a new knitter and want to try your hand at felting, this is the
project for you. Blossom Dot works up like a scarf -- back and forth on
straight needles -- so it couldn't be an easier knit. The embellishment is
explained in detail in the pattern; the handle is wrapped so it requires just a
couple stitches of hand sewing. Both the back and front of the purse are
embellished with knit and felted appliqued flowers and stems.
Yarn: 100%
worsted weight yarn: 300 yards in exterior color, 300 yards in interior color,
50 yards ea for remaining flower embellishments colors.
Additional Materials: One set
of purse handles, approximately 6.75" long and 4.75" tall, fusible
interfacing, 1/4" flat elastic and 1/2 yard of fabric to cover

Needles: Size 10
straight needles and two size 10 double pointed needles to work the i-cord
embellishments, yarn needle, sewing needle and cotton thread to match the
exterior bag color
