Novelty yarn is knit and felted along with the wool to create a colorful textured fabric. Finished sizes: Small purse: 6" (15cm) wide by 7" (18cm) deep. Large purse: 8" (20cm) wide by 9" (23cm) deep. Straps will measure from 34" to 50" depending on length knit. Yarn Requirements: Knit in double strand 8ply (DK) weight yarn. Main Yarn: 275 (425) yards of DK weight wool that will felt quickly and easily. Yarn is used double throughout. Novelty yarn: Approximately 35 (40) yards, if used single strand, or 70 (80) yards if used double. This yarn is not intended to felt, instead it is held in with the felted wool. Choose a yarn with a fine binder thread so that it will not cause a large change in the felted gauge of the wool. Trendsetter's Flora and Eyelash are used in samples.
