In 1995 when The Sassy Skein was founded, we were one of the first yarn companies to focus solely on garment-quality cotton yarns. The cotton on the market was not dyed exceptionally well and was not a true garment-quality. From the beginning, we perfected our dyeing process to bring vibrant, bright colors to knitters and crocheters. We wanted a dye that was not only safe and perfect for sensitive skin, but also colorfast to not lose its vibrancy after each wash.

We focused on creating a yarn that knitters will enjoy knitting and kids will enjoy wearing. As our yarn has gained tremendous popularity in the past 25 years, our customers have used our yarn for a wide range of projects and adult-sized garments.
