Hand Jive Knits
This
poncho can be made 3 ways – as a traditional poncho, as an open-front poncho
that buttons up the front, or as a shawl.
The last 2 versions are worked flat, while the traditional-style poncho
is worked in the round.
Materials:
Yarn
– 925 yds fingering weight yarn
Needles
– US Size 7 (4.5mm) circular needles
Stitch
markers, tapestry needle, for front-open poncho: 11 ¾ inch buttons, size D (3.25
mm) crochet hook
Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows= 4 inches. Please
take time to knit a swatch and check your gauge. Adjust as needed.
Finished size: Small to Medium, approximately 20 inches in
length
